Search.PorscheHeritage.com is a simple place where you can quickly find whats going on in the internet about Porsche. This is a companion site to PorscheHeritage.com
Whats is this?
Its a collection of sites that I find interesting and somewhat authorative on Porsche. You can easily have a "top level" view of interesting news, forum post, images, video, and blogs. Its up to the minute information. If you would like to add your site go here. I've designed the site to be as easy to read as possible, give you lots of information, organize it as best as I can, and be as fast as possible. The intent is to give you a quick view and always be on top of your information. I've tested the site on as PC, MAC, Iphone, Blackberry, Firefox, Safari, IE, and Opera. If you have a problem with the page render please let me know.
Whats this is NOT
This is NOT intended to replace forums, news sites, image sites, or blogs. I highly recommend that you continue to visit and frequent all of the fantastic sites listed here. I wouldnt have listed it if I didn't like them
Freshness
I love fresh and new information. I love being the first guy to know an interesting piece of news, cool photo, or awesome Porsche video out there. --And, I love being the first guy to post it on the forums. To achieve freshness, this site looks in the web for every piece of information it can find (every 30 seconds) and present it to you; and get you to it as quickly as possible. The newest piece of information is MARKED with a little icon next to it that says "new".
Preview Mode
You can easily preview that interesting piece of information by simply moving your mouse over it. It gives you an opportunity to preview the data before you go to that link. Decide if you have seen it or not, compare it, or if its interesting enough to click.
More/Less >>
Sometimes, a source site gives a lot of new information. To keep things compact and readible; I have included a "more/less" button so that you can see more information from that particular source. There are some forums that are so active that its sometimes hard to keep track; this "more/less" button should help you manage what you want to look at.
Whats next?
It would be cool to give you (the user) a chance to vote/favorite on a piece of data, mark it as spam, or give it a rating to let others know the quality of a link. But, thats down the line in the future.
Quality
Quality of the source is very important to me so please give me feedback if you think that the source is not reliable. Please also let me know if you would like to add a site. Recommendations and feedback on a site is always very very welcome and encouraged!
Search Bar (on top)
I've provided a search bar on top to let users quickly search the web if they see something that interest them but not necessarily i want to go to that link. I use this bar, when I see something that I want to cross reference. Very helpful to validate news! I'm also constantly tuning the search results so that its a little smarter and tuned for the information you are currently looking at. For example: ..you are looking at the blog section and you notice alot of the blogs are talking about the new Panamera, you can just search Panamera and it should give you more blogs with that information (even a blog I may not have been indexing) on the web about the Panamera. Another use of this is too search just the forums; (yes, it searches all of the forums all at once)
I need feedback on how effective the navigation and the user interface.

I need feedback if something is broken or not rendering properly.
I need feedback if you want a site indexed.
I need feedback if you just want to say this thing is lame.

Hopefully, every morning when you first wake up and you want to know the newest and latest buzz around the web regarding Porsche; you go here first. Hopefully, when you only have a few minutes to kickback and relax and you want some Porsche time; you go here first. Hopefully, you can tell me more sites worth indexing.
